23 projects applied for the six KRACH rooms 2019 . Now, the international jury has carried out a first appraisal of the projects. The result: 16 projects - up to three per room - will be invited to the KRACH candidate Weekend, which will be held on 15th and 16th of June in Chemnitz.
Among the nominees are eleven projects from Chemnitz and five projects from outside the city limits - including Leipzig, Dresden and Berlin. The nominated projects reflect the whole spectrum of the cultural and creative industries.
At the KRACH weekend in mid-June, they will then have the opportunity to get to know the jurors, the KRACH team, the city of Chemnitz and their potential new spaces in the Wirkbau, the schönherr.fabrik and the Kreativhof "Die Stadtwirtschaft". In addition, they get to talkt to representatives of our space providers (SCHÖNHERR WEBA GmbH, Spinnwerk GmbH & Co. KG and the Economic Development Corporation, City of Chemnitz). In addition, the contestants receive answers to their questions about their business models, their legal form and their communication - all of which should help sharpen the applications before the jury is selecting the winners of KRACH 2.0.
